Police locate two bodies in northern NSW

POLICE searching for a missing father and daughter have located two bodies at Pottsville in northern NSW.

Police said the two bodies were located by an SES volunteer in dense bushland at the Pottsville sand dunes.
Greg Hutchings, 35, and his four-year-old daughter Eeva Dorendahl-Hutchings have been missing from Pottsville since January 11 after failing to meet up with family at a local park.

The bodies were discovered at 10am on Tuesday, just an hour and a half into the day's search.
"The bodies are yet to be formally identified and police are unable to speculate whether they are that of the missing 35-year-old man and his four-year-old daughter," a statement from NSW Police said.
Detective Superintendent Stuart Wilkins told reporters at Pottsville that the bodies were found by an SES volunteer "secreted under a tree".
"It is quite obvious they have been deceased for a considerable period of time," he said.
"We are unable at this time to identify those bodies but it is certainly possible that they are our missing persons."
